Uppark House and Garden is a 17th century house located on the South Downs with landscaped gardens inspired by Capability Brown.
The house has a connection to H.G. Wells who spent part of his childhood here, as his mother was the housekeeper. The house features a Georgian dairy, Victorian servants quarters and a dolls house, one of the world's most famous, with contents dating from around 1735. The grounds also feature a woodland walk.
