Saddlescombe Farm is a working farm that existed as far back as the Domesday book and curiously was once home to the Knights Templar. It is located on the South Downs Way and is only five miles from Brighton.
Newtimber Hill lies adjacent to the farm and features some of the country's best chalk grassland and an ancient woodland and is home to rare plants and insects and a 1000 year-old lime tree.
- No car parking at the farm.
- The Hiker's Rest tea shop is located at the farm and serves hot and cold drinks and home-made cakes and snacks.
The farm is only open on selected days of the year. The Hill is open all year round. See National Trust website for tea shop opening times.
