Port Lympne Wild Animal Park is a 600 acre wild animal park with a safari truck ride plus walking areas near Hythe in Kent.
This animal park is run as a charitable organisation which promotes animal conservation with breeding programmes and high animal welfare standards. Covering over 650 acres of Kent countryside the zoo is split into 4 zones called Basecamp, African Experience, Carnivore Territory and the Primate Trail and features many rare and endangered species. The African Experience part is mainly a 100 acres of open plains with free-roaming wildlife which you view from the Safari bus tours.
Just some of the animals visitors can see are Siberian and Indian tigers, leopards, cheetahs, Barbary lions, elephants, zebra, black rhinos, giraffe, wildebeest, hyenas, wolves, gorillas, monkeys, gibbons and baboons. Joint tickets available for this park in conjunction with Howletts Wild Animal Park for a year. Daily scheduled keeper talks. Keeper experiences available. Children's play areas.
