Melford Hall is a historic mansion with gardens near Sudbury in Suffolk.
The history of this house dates back to the 16th century when it was a monastic hunting lodge and in it's lifetime has only been lived in by four different families. The current family, the Hyde Parkers, who are relations of Beatrix Potter, have lived in it for over 200 years. The house contains an eclectic mix of styles and décor and features collections of paintings, furniture, porcelain and Beatrix Potter memorabilia. There are also landscaped gardens.
