Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre

Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre is a 36 acre attraction, originally the site of a chalk pit, about the industrial history of the South East region.

Located in the South Downs National Park, the centre includes historic buildings some moved from other locations, such as a lime kiln, an engine house, a Brickyard drying shed and the Fairmile Cafe built in 1939.

There are also telecommunications exhibits featuring telephone, radio and telegraph related historical items, the Energy Electricity Hall, a Roads and Road making museum, a collection of narrow-gauge railway locomotives and a hand tools exhibition to see.

You can get around using the Narrow gauge railway and bus rides and there are traditional craft workshops to visit. The site also has some Nature trails you can follow.
