World of James Herriot is a museum about the life of vet and author James Herriot located in the town of Thirsk in North Yorkshire.
This attraction is set in the town where James Alfred Wight, who wrote using the pseudonym of James Herriot, lived and worked. In the attraction visitors will see his 1940's themed home and veterinary surgery plus a number of exhibits including a collection of James Herriot memorabilia, an exhibit of veterinary equipment, an interactive gallery, a video presentation of interviews and unseen footage from the TV show, a recreated World War II Air raid shelter, a model train set and a TV set filming an episode of All Creatures Great and Small. There is also a garden to relax in.
