Warwick Castle is a historic castle dating back to the 11th century in Warwick in Warwickshire.
Part of the castle interiors have been used to recreate scenes from a late 19th century Royal Weekend party created using waxwork models set in the period room settings. Other interior areas of the castle include the state rooms and Great Hall all featuring period decoration and furniture with paintings, suits of armour and weapons on display. The castle also has 64 acres of landscaped gardens set around the river Avon and including a Victorian rose garden and peacock garden with conservatory.
Other things to see include the Princess Tower with show, a Ramparts walk and the water mill with engine house. The Castle Dungeon is populated with actors bringing gruesome tales from the castle's history to life with the aid of special effects. There is also the Pageant playground outdoor play area for children. Seasonal events include falconry displays, jousting, fighting knights, archery displays, minstrels and jesters.
