The Bog Visitor Centre

The Bog Visitor Centre is an information centre in The Bog village, South West of Shrewsbury in Shropshire.

The centre is housed in a former Victorian school which is one of the last buildings left from The Bog old mining village which was mainly demolished in the 1970s. The Bog is located in the Stiperstones National Nature Reserve and is an ideal starting point for walking in the area. The old school still has it's original gas lighting and also contains information panels about the lost mining village, the geology of the area and the local wildlife.
