Segedunum Roman Fort, Baths and Museum is a museum around the remains of a number of Roman buildings alongside Hadrian's wall in Wallsend, Tyne and Wear.
The area of Wallsend was named for being the location of the Eastern end of Hadrian's Wall and was the site of a large Roman fort 2000 years ago. This visitor attraction is based around the archaeological remains of that Fort and it's associated buildings and also features a museum with reconstructed buildings. In the museum there are interactive exhibits plus visitors can see the Roman finds made at the site which include a Roman stone toilet seat, part of some Roman armour and parts of weapons. There is also a 35 metre high viewing tower from which you can look out over the site.
