Penrhyn Castle is a 19th century castle with Norman style architecture near Bangor in North Wales.
This faux-Norman castle was constructed in the early 1800s and replaced an earlier fortified Medieval manor house. The interiors include a collection of neo-Norman furniture, ornate carvings and plasterwork and a large collection of artwork. There are also some restored Victorian kitchens to see and guided tours are available daily between 11am and 12pm and on Tuesdays between 11am and 5pm. The stable block has a Railway museum with lots of old industrial steam locomotives on display. There is also a model railway museum and dolls' museum.
The 110 acres of grounds includes parkland, woodland, a Victorian walled garden, a Bog garden, an exotic tree and shrub collection and a Children's play area. There is a Nature walk available to download from the National Trust website.
