French Brothers Boat Trips are a company running boat cruises along the river Thames centred around Windsor in Berkshire.
This family business has a fleet of 11 vessels running boat trips and cruises taking passengers on boat trips and short cruises along the Thames in and around the Windsor area. The gentle boat journeys sail you past the picturesque scenery and famous landmarks, departing from a number of locations including Windsor, Runnymede, Maidenhead, Staines, Chertsey and Hampton Court. The Windsor to Boveney Lock, 40 minute round trip, runs most days from mid February to October taking in the sights of Windsor castle, Eton college, Mill house, Windsor racecourse and Brocas meadows. Two further trips run daily from early April to October and they are the 2 hour round trip from Windsor to Bray Weir and back and the 45 minute return trip from Runneymede boathouse to the Bells of Ouzeley in a replica Victorian paddle steamer.
There is also a one way Runneymede to Windsor service taking 90 minutes and going past Romney lock, the Bells of Ouzeley and Datchet and Home Park, departing from Runneymeade at 11am and from Windsor at 4pm. A one way trip between Maidenhead and Windsor takes 90 minutes and takes in the sights of Boveney and Bray locks, Oakley court, Monkey island, Eton and Windsor castle and departs from Maidenhead at 11am and leaves Windsor at 3:45pm. Finally there is a service running between Runnymede and Hampton Court which stops at Staines, Chertsey lock and Sunbury lock with the full journey duration taking 4 hours. This service departs at 9:15am from Runneymede and 2:30pm from Hampton court bridge.
There are also more infrequently run cruises such as the Steamboat Tea Cruise which includes an afternoon tea with your trip in a Victorian steam vessel departing from Windsor Promenade on selected days between May to September and the Sunday lunch cruises on selected days from March to October. There is also a 1 hour steamboat cruise from Windsor to Boveney lock and back on selected Sundays from May to September and a historic steamboat cruise which includes lunch and afternoon tea and occurs on one day in May and September. The boats are also available for private charter.
