Exbury Gardens and Steam Railway is an attraction with over 200 acres of gardens with miniature steam train rides in the New Forest in Hampshire.
The gardens are mainly woodland gardens alongside the Beaulieu river. Gardens include the American Garden, the Summer Lane Garden, a Winter garden, a bog garden, a daffodil meadow and a herbaceous and grasses garden. There are over 20 miles of paths through the gardens and amongst the things visitors will see are ponds, wildlife, Rhododendrons, Camellias, Magnolias, Hydrangeas and fungi. Buggy rides around the gardens (additional charge).
The steam train track is 12 ¼” gauge and comprises a circular route of around a mile and a quarter and rides last approximately twenty minutes. There is also a walk-through exhibition to see about the construction of the Rhododendron line, within Exbury's Engine Shed. Entrance to the garden is required to access the train rides.
