Chester Zoo is home to over 21,000 animals from over 500 different species. Some of the animals include monkeys and apes, big cats, rhinos, bears, elephants and deer. Indoor exhibits include an aquarium, the tropical realm with free-flight aviary, reptiles and amphibians, a butterfly house and a fruit bat forest.
There is a monorail system and a waterbus (boat ride) system to aid you in getting around the park, but these both cost extra.
With daily animal talks, events, themed play areas, a choice of restaurants and kiosks and award-winning gardens there is something for all the family to enjoy.
Chester Zoo has free on-site parking and great links via public transport including a bus from Chester Train Station to the zoo.
