Beale Park is a 350 acre attraction with a wildlife park, extensive gardens and children's activities on the bank of the river Thames near Streatley in Berkshire.
The animal park has meerkats, prairie dogs, monkeys, mongoose, capybara, wallabies, alpaca, mara, lemurs, raccoons, owls, macaw, rhea, coati, goats, a deer park and a pets corner. Keeper experiences available.
The landscaped gardens include a pavilion, trails, the Jubilee water gardens and sculptures. The Pavilion has a collection of more than 400 model boats and planes on display. There is also a Treasured Toys exhibit displaying toys of yesteryear from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
Other things to do at the park include the ride-on miniature, 10.5 inch gauge, train ride with journeys lasting about 10 minutes (one ride included in entry price), an aerial cable-way and a seasonal Thames river cruise stops at the park (additional charge). For children there is an outdoor Tikes Village play area with sandpit, play houses and activity gym, the Little Tikes indoor play area with play houses, ride-ons and rocking horse, an outdoor adventure playground and a zip-wire.
There is also fishing available in the Thames or a lake (permit/ticket required). The park also caters for children's birthday parties.
