Anglesey Abbey, Gardens and Lode Mill is a Jacobean style house, a working water mill and 114 acres of gardens and park between Cambridge and Newmarket in Cambridgeshire.
The house is on the site of a priory dating from the 13th century and the dining room is the only surviving room from it. The house contains collections of paintings, silverware, English and French clocks and fine furniture. There are tours of the house on Tuesdays (additional charge). Some of the rooms visitors can see include the library, the oak room, the Dining room and the ship bedroom.
The gardens include a wildlife discovery area, 30 acres of wildflower meadows, lawns, woodland, a rose garden, a dahlia garden, a winter garden, a two-storey tree-house and mythological and biblical Statues. Winter lights event from the end of November to mid December.
