Ancient House Museum of Thetford Life

Ancient House Museum of Thetford Life is a local history museum set in a historic grade I listed timber-framed Tudor merchant's house.

Located just two minutes from Thetford's main shopping street, the atmospheric house is full of period features such as carved ceiling timbers and a carved fireplace. Recently updated with modern displays the attraction informs visitors about the history of Thetford, the Brecks and it's people using audio visual presentations, staged scenes, archaeological artefacts including items on Boudica and the Vikings and costumed guides.

The museum also has a selection of changing exhibits and a garden to see.
